Rule 33 โ Changing the Next Leg of the Course
When race officials or mark layers need to change the next leg of the course, Racing Rules of Sailing Rule 33 requires:
โThe signal shall be the display of flag C with repetitive sounds and one or both of the following:
(a) a compass bearing indicating the direction to the new mark, or
(b) a green triangular flag or board or a red rectangular flag or board to indicate that the mark has been moved to starboard or to port.โ
(RRS Rule 33)
Thatโs why a reliable, loud signal horn is not only smart โ itโs part of the ROโs Essential Kit .
